First he gained his popularity in early 1970’s with films such as Zanjeer, Deewaar, Sholay and Amar Akbar Anthony and at the same time people use to call him as India’s “angry young man” for his on-screen roles in Bollywood. Who Is Amitabh Bachchan?
Amitabh Bachchan debuted his movie in Bollywood in 1969 from Saat Hindustani but that was not too much popular movie and after that around 7 movie flopped back to back in 1972’s he did action role in Zanjeer which made him an action movie star. In 1990s, he also started his own production house ABC company (Amitabh Bachchan Corporation). Again in 1997 he return in Bollywood with the popular movie Mrityudaata and In 2000 he also hosted Indian version of “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?” or “Kaun Banega Crorepati.”
Early Life
He was born in Allahabad, UP, India and initially his full name was Inquilaab SrivastavaAmitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Katrina Kaif and Other Bollywood Celebs Who Changed Their Names but later on he changed his name and keep it as Amitabh Harivansh Bachchan but popularly known as Amitabh Bachchan, Dr. Harivansh Rai Bachchan was was one of the renowned poet at that time also was a professor in Allahabad University. His Mother Name was Teji Bachchan, He also have one younger brother, named Ajitabh Bachchan. He did his schooling from Sherwood Sherwood College boarding school and then enrolled himself in Delhi University where he studied Bachelor of Arts degree and then started his career as a frieght broker in Calcutta but later on he moved back to Bombay and started working in Bollywood Industry and got his first break from “Saat Hindustani”Saat Hindustani
Early Film Career
He debut his filmy career from “Saat Hindustani” but the movie were unsuccessful and didn’t get enough attention of Audience but he managed to grab the attention of many directors and got many offers just after that movie by then 1970’s his image become more as “angry young man” his movie Zanjeer launched him as action hero and he then did many other action movies like Laawaris, Coolie, Naseeb, Silsila, Shaarabi and Jaadugar untill 1980 he did more then 100 movie. He was the favourite actor of Prakash Mehra and under his direction he made many popular films like Trishul, Sholay and Chashme Buddoor.
Politics and Business
In 1982, he faced a serious accident when he was doing movie called “Cooli” and that prompted him to change his career path and he started his career as politician but soon in 1987 he left his seat and again started acting career. He also started his own production house with the name called ABC and make himself CEO of that company but that didn’t worked and he again back to the Acting career in 1997 and make the popular film Mrityudaata and later on hosted TV Serial “kaun banega crorepati?“Amitabh Bachchan returns to work after hospital that help him to back again and till 2000 he again become one of the most popular and most demanded actor in Bollywood. He earned Filmfare and International Film Award nominations for his work on films like Baghban (2003), Khakee (2004) and Paa (2009).
