- Doctor Strange- Multiverse of Madness
Leave it to Marvel to bring the best for their fans. Phase 4 is full of new characters, villains, and saving the world. Enjoying the success of no way home and Eternals, Marvel is going to keep its fans contended this year. Following the storylines of Loki and Scarlet Witch, this madness is going to top off the charts. Rachel McAdams will be reprising her role as Christine and doing a lot more than wearing scrubs.

- Fantastic Beasts
The Secrets of Dumbledore: Spin-off to the famous Harry Potter series, this film will explore the wiser and his journey. Studded with a shining star cast, after the reunion, a new wave of enthusiasm has filled the Potterheads. In the third installment of the franchise, new adventures will be taken in, including the fight of the ultimate wizard to the ultimate beast.
- Lightyear
Chris Evans is not the only one excited for his Disney debut. Pixar will be bringing a spin-off of the much-loved toy story, serving the origin story for the fictional test pilot/astronaut, the Buzz Lightyear toy. Playing the hero, Buzz has the responsibility to save the universe from the evilness of Emperor Zurg. Bringing the classic Disney magic, this movie is definitely on the checklist of many.

- Don’t worry Darling
Just when fans couldn’t love Harry Styles anymore, he is bringing his acting skills to the stage. Seen previously in Dunkirk, Harry Styles will be seen romancing the beloved Florence Pugh. In the words of Olivia Wilde herself, inspired by psychosexual thrillers like Fatal Attraction and Indecent Proposal, this movie will take over the screen. A horror-thriller, add the name to that list.
- Minions
The Rise of Gru- The mischievousness is back in the house as the favorite minions return to our screens. The second film of the fandom, this animated sequel already has many awaiting. Learning to work for their new master, a young Gru, Gru sets out on the adventure to become the new feared villain, aspiring to be the members of The Vicious 6. However, outsmarting the members during the interview sets the eye of the evil apex on him, Gru has one option left; run. But how far he goes, the audience is keen to find the answer.
- Morbius
Introduced in comics as Peter Parker’s Villain, biochemist Morbius will be bringing the origin story of a scientist who is on a search to find the cure for his rare blood disease but turns out to be a vampire. Michael Keaton — who has already appeared in the MCU’s Spider-Man: Homecoming as prominent Spider-Man villain Vulture — will be spotted again by the audience, leading to the mingling of all multiverses.
- Everything Everywhere All at Once
It’s a wave of multidimensional action films and we have a new one to add to the category. A science fiction, everything everywhere all at once will feature the women of the story discovering new aspects of life through trips to multiverses, ending up with peace in their struggles. From the cinematography to the actors’ performance, this film is a good weekend plan.

- Sonic- The Hedgehog 2
Before the virus confined us to our homes and we experienced a troubling pandemic, Sonic-Hedgehog ruled the screen. Now returning on popular demand, the sequel will feature Sonic (Ben Schwartz) finding his team (voiced by Colleen O’Shaughnessey) to fight the evil against Dr. Robotnik (Jim Carrey) returns with a furry pal of his own named Knuckles (voiced by Idris Elba). What will the hero sacrifice for world peace? Find out in April!
- The Bad Guys
DreamWorks Animation is bringing a fresh story for its audience this April. A heist comedy based on a popular series of children’s books telling stories of villains redeeming themselves and opting for the good path In this case, the “bad guys” are Mr Wolf, Mr Piranha, Mr Snake, Mr Shark, and Ms Tarantula. But second chances don’t come easy, hence our villains will need all the audience support!
- The Northman
The man who blessed us with The Witch and The Lighthouse now returns with his quenching of revenge. Set in the past, Anya Taylor-Joy, who starred in The Witch, will be bringing the story of a son avenging the death of his father. For the same, the man reunites with director Robert Eggers alongside an all-star cast. The film was written by Eggers alongside Icelandic writer Sjón, and the film co-stars that country’s biggest pop culture export, Björk, who her fans might remember from the hit 2000’s Dancer in the Dark.
- Firestarter
Bringing the famous novel, Firestarter by Stephen King to the green screen, the film will feature a couple desperately trying to hide their daughter, Charlie, a gifted prodigy, from the exile plans of a federal agency, aiming to turn her fire into a mass destruction weapon. Directed by Keith Thomas, this movie will keep you hooked to the seat.

- Chip ‘n’ Dale: Rescue Rangers
Revisiting the classic Disney Cartoon, which some hope could eventually lead to a revival of the series itself on Disney +, starring John Mulaney and Andy Samberg, respectively. The self-referential live-action animation comedy starts with Chip and Dale alive and well in a Roger Rabbit-esque world, with Dale a new CGI look and the pair must come together one more time to find a missing old co-star.
- Downton Abbey
The new era: A historical period drama and sequel to Downton Abbey released in 2019, Crawley’s story has more to offer. This time, the family goes on a grand journey to the South of France to uncover the mystery of the dowager countess’s newly inherited villa. To be released on HBO Max, the classic old characters will be revisiting their roles along with interesting new additions.
- Men
Written by Alex Garland, this is an upcoming horror thriller. To find peace from his personal tragedy, Harper chooses the beautiful English countryside, hoping to find a place and time to heal. However, when someone or rather something from the surrounding woods appears to be always accompanying her, the journey of fear starts. What begins as simmering dread soon turns into her most dreaded nightmare, her darkest memories and secrets exposed in bright light.

- The Bob’s Burgers Movie
Transitioning from the sitcom series to musical comedy, this year Fox will be presenting about the owner of a small hamburger restaurant and his quirky family fighting to keep the business afloat. As the dangers mount, these Belchers fight to find hope and keep the counter running. The film was expected to have a release in the last year itself but 2022 is its lucky year.
- Top Gun- Maverick-
Find a seat, because Tom Cruise is back for another action thriller. More than three decades later. Top Gun returns with a sequel. Pete “Maverick” Mitchell keeps running from the envelope after years of service as one of the Navy’s top aviators. However, he must confront the past while training a new squad of graduates for a dangerous mission for the ultimate sacrifice. The filmmakers have opted for Miles Teller to play Goose’s son and Val Kilmer is officially back as Iceman.
- Jurassic World Dominion
In his last movie of the saga, Jeff Goldblum decided to establish peace, by declaring humans would have to learn to coexist with dinosaurs, However, the new story will revisit the ramifications of Lost Kingdom. The original gold characters Laura Dern and Sam Neill are both returning alongside Goldblum, Bryce Dallas Howard, and Chris Pratt. What will be the future of mankind, wait till June to find out?

- The Black Phone
Another supernatural horror film, The black Phone is a story of shy 13-year-old boy Finney Shaw, kidnapped and being forcefully held in a dark soundproof basement by a serial killer. When a disconnected phone on the wall starts to ring, the boy catches up that he can hear the voices of the murderer’s previous victims — who are set to not add another victim to the list. Will the boy escape? There is only one way to find out.
- Elvis
Directed by Baz Luhmann, this musical biographical drama will feature the king of rock and roll, Elvis Presely in his early days of career and building his empire as the mega rock star. The film will also give an insight to his complex relationship with his manager, Colonel Tom Parker.
- Shotgun Wedding
To lighten the mood and top the list of comfort rom-coms Jennifer Lopez will be featuring as a bride, except nothing at this wedding goes right. When the whole wedding is taken hostage, the couple must come together to complete the first challenge of marriage. Only one little problem, they are at each other’s throats. What will the wedding end up as?

- Thor
Love and Thunder (8 July) – The original avenger is going to take us to another adventure. After leaving the responsibility of the throne to Valkyrie, Thor will be joining Guardians of the Galaxy to save the world, with his first love Jane revisiting his life. Not to mention, the little surprise we got at comic con- Jane will be picking up Mjöllnir, being more than just a scientist this time. If only it was possible to have the tickets now!
- Bullet Train
Adapting a novel by Japanese writer Kōtarō Isaka follows a story of an assassin (Brad Pitt) trying to give up his life of killing, tasked with retrieving a mysterious briefcase on a bullet train which guesses what is full of other assassins aiming for the same case. This action-comedy is directed by David Leitch popular for (Atomic Blonde, Deadpool 2) and has an all-stunning star cast.

- Nope
In an upcoming horror film, the plot centres on an isolated town moved by a mysterious force that affects human and animal behaviour. The trailer didn’t give out much about the story of the town, only humans looking at the sky with fear. Turns out, the audience can only wait for the sweet fruit on this one.
- DC League of Super-Pets
Looks like DC will be entering the realm of animation with DC Super-Pets — which features Superman’s equally heroic dog teaming up with a flying cat to stop crime —give us new heroes to worship. Krypto the Superdog and Superman have always been together while fighting crime in the city. However, when the Man of Steel and the rest of the Justice League are kidnapped, Krypto must convince a ragtag group of animals to master their own newfound powers for saving his best friend.
- The Man from Toronto
Featuring Kevin Hart and Kaley Cuoco, this action-comedy thriller will give you the laugh of the day. The film centres on the world’s deadliest assassin and New York’s biggest screw-up being mistaken for each other at an Airbnb rental. Confusions lead to more confusion, is there even a way out of this?

- Are you there god? It’s me, Margaret
An adaptation of the bestseller by Judy Blume, this is a perfect weekend watch. Remember the good old day romcom with Rachel McAdams, god has listened to us! I think he is there. The movie is a story of a young adolescent girl raised by two religious parents, moving out to a new place. Coming of age, her faith in things starts wavering as her own experiences raise new questions.
- SpiderMan
Across the Spider-Verse (Part one)- The Oscar-winning animated Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse was loved by all is now returning with Across the Spider-Verse (Part One), one of the most awaited films of the year, especially now that we will be blessed with two parts. Shameik Moore will be the voice of the audience’s favorite Miles Morales again, with Hailee Steinfeld’s Gwen Stacy and Oscar Isaac’s Miguel O’Hara (aka Spider-Man 2099) joining him. It also has been confirmed Issa Rae is set to voice Jessica Drew (aka Spider-Woman), and it’s likely that Jake Johnson’s Peter Parker will be making an entry as well.

After eight years of news, Dwayne Johnson will finally play the superhero role has always deserved in Black Adam. Officially joining the DCEU in 2022, as the all-powerful antihero, Dwayne made us wait a lot. As the nemesis to Zachary Levi‘s Shazam, there’s an onscreen crossover to look forward to in the future as well.
- Black Panther
Wakanda Forever: To honour the king of life and Wakanda, Chadwick Boseman, both audience and filmmakers lost their heart to see another man on the throne. The future of Wakanda is in safe hands and there would be a second instalment to the series centring on T’Challa’s spunky sister Shuri, played by Letitia Wright. The story will focus on the culture of Wakanda and its rich history. The absence of the great star however can be filled by none.

- Avatar 2
James Cameron’s once-highest-grossing film of all time, thanks to Avengers- Endgame, Avatar is back in competition with its sequel. Sam Worthington’s Jake Sully and Zoe Saldana’s Neytiri now have a family on Pandora but are forced to leave behind their homes when the old archenemies return. Kate Winslet, Michelle Yeoh, and Edie Falco are among the new additions to the cast. There is no other option but war for them!
