When it comes to scary the audience with some interesting and creepy movie plot then Bollywood is one of the best platform to show it. Here in this article I have listed down some of the Hindi horror movies that can keep you awake for nights.

‘Mahal’ (1949)

“Mahal” this is one of the first hindi horror movie of Bollywood which deal with reincarnation and this film regularly scare the audience for many years.

‘Bees Saal Baad’ (1962)

This movie is based on Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s “The Hound Of Baskerville” it was one of the highest earned movie in 1962.

‘Kohraa’ (1964)

This movie was developed on the basis of Daphne du Maurier’s 1938 novel “Rebecca”, “Kohraa” this movie have several chilling moments. We would recommend to must watch this movie.

‘Raaz’ (2002)

“Raaz” the movie was inspired by one of the popular noble of Michelle Pfeiffer starrer “What Lies Beneath”. Bipasha Basu and Dino Morea were in the lead role in this movie along with Ashutosh Rana as Villain and they perform so well that it become of the most popular horror movie of India.

‘Bhoot’ (2003)

This movie is based on a haunted flat when duo couple moves into it and then they experience the spirit and regular inexplicable experiences drive the wife to near madness. This movie was directed by Ram Gopal Varma and was acted by Urmila Matondkar, Ajay Devgn and Fardeen Khan as in the lead roles.

‘1920’ (2008)

This film shot with an artistic finesse in Allerton Castle, England and its really a cool experience if you will watch this movie.

‘Ragini MMS’ (2011)

This movie is basically Inspired by the American supernatural horror “Paranormal Activity”, “Ragini MMS”. It is based on a real story. The film has several scene which will feel like edge-of-the-seat moments.

‘Bhoot Returns’ (2012)

“Bhoot Returns” it is a sequel of one of the hit movie “Bhoot”. This film is based on a horrifying experienced by a family when they move to a new house.

‘Horror Story’ (2013)

This move basically revolves around some of the youngsters who decide to spend there night at a haunted hotel.

‘Pari’ (2018)

“Pari” is another horror movie which is basically based on supernatural power. The story starts when a a man attempts to help a woman named Ruksana, an abuse victim, whom he found chained up in a hut. However, things are not as they appear.
